 May's Markets at Warnies hosted a Fun Day called Remembering Ryan - Helping Sick Kids in honour of Ryan D'Annibale, who lost his battle at the age of 9 to a Brain Tumour on 21st May 2008. The day was a huge success raising over $2,000 (Official Figure to be confirmed) donated from Market stall fees, a BBQ, Raffles, Stall holders and the Chocolate Wheel being donated to the charity The Clown Doctors. The Clown Doctors travel around to hospitals and perform at children's bedsides to bring a smile to their face. The work they carry out is paramount to relieve the stress and despair of both parents and children. I'm sure you'll agree - a highly worthy cause. See the Gallery for more photos!

 On Saturday 18 October the Mousketeers, a local team in the Mingara Relay for Life 2008 will be raising money for the NSW Cancer Council at the Markets. If you are interested in having a market stall and donating money raised to the NSW Cancer Coucil then please contact Rebecca O'Shea on 0407 895 879 for more information. Otherwise please come along and support the fundraisers by bringing along your family for lots of bargains as well as entertainment from Ziggy the Clown!
